Telecom Industry Report: US$ 795
The Brazilian telecommunications sector has witnessed tremendous growth in the use of mobile phones since 2002 until peaking at 280.7 millions phones in 2014. Mobiles seem to be stabilising at slightly lower levels thereafter. Brazilian telecom revenues reached nearly US$ 100 billion in 2016. Main players showed positive operating profit (Ebitda) but negative ROE the same year. In the global scenario, the top 20 players appear to generate higher operating margins the smaller their revenue in the analysed period. Outlook is favourable, with decreasing fixed landlines and continuous rise in the use of mobiles and smartphones.

This report analyses the market, main products and services, main players and potential for different telecom products and services in Brazil.
