Falke Economics Research Report

Full Economics Report: US$ 795
The Brazilian economy was evolving faster than the other BRIC countries until 2013. However, the impacts of corruption and poor administration finally started to appear and the country’s indicators worsened considerably in 2014 and 2015, culminating in the loss of ‘investment grade’. The economy shrank 19.2% in dollars between 2014 and 2017 with GDP currently amounting to around US$ 1.95 trillion. Breakdown of GDP and the population of nearly 208 million people shows considerable differences across the geographic regions and only very few industries seem to be growing for the past year. Certain social indicators improved but inflation has soared and economic disparities have increased to concerning levels.

This report analyses the Brazilian economy and the main economics and social indicators, geographic breakdown and life quality in the country.
